2001 Mercury 225HP Two Stroke Outboard Motor
This is a 3.0 liter, direct fuel injected, oil injected, two stroke outboard with power trim and tilt. they produce outstanding power and low end torque. they are very reliable and low weight. additonally these optimax are as fuel efficient as any four stroke in its class.

Mechanically the motor is in great shape. Compression was 110-115 on all cylinder. It fires right up, pumps good water, shifts smooth and sounds excellent when you rap the throttle.
Cosmetically the motor looks good. The powerhead is very clean and the overall condition of the motor will definetly make the new owner proud.
