This is a 2.5 liter, electronic fuel injected, oil injected, two stroke outboard with power trim and tilt. these efi motors produce outstanding power and low end torque. they are very reliable ad well. this was the last design mercury put out before discontinuing the efi line in 2006.

Mechanically the motor is in great shape. Compression was 118-120 per cylinder. It fires right up, pumps good water, shifts smooth and sounds excellent when you rap the throttle.

Cosmetically the motor looks good. The powerhead is very clean and the overall condition of the motor will definetly make the new owner proud.
