2008 Mercury Optimax 225HP Two Stroke Outboard Motor
This is a 3.0 liter, direct fuel injected, oil injected, two stroke outboard with power trim and tilt. these optimax motors produce outstanding power and low end torque. on top of that they are as fuel efficient as any four stroke. this 3.0 225hp liter merc motor pushes a much closer to 240hp then 225hp.

Mechanically you couldn’t ask for more. the compression was 110-115 on all cylinders. it fires right up, pumps good water, shifts smooth and sounds excellent when you rap the throttle.
Cosmetically the motor looks good. The powerhead is very clean and the overall condition of the motor will definetly make the new owner proud.
